My entry into the Bright Sparks Competition was inspired by my love of electronics and my determination to make a robotic arm! The best part was programming it. Programming's fun because you can command your device to do whatever you want it to do. The hardest part was crafting the robotic arm out of metal for the arm’s body.

My teacher Mr McPeak was also a big inspiration for me. He ran an extension class called 'Inventor Centre' where students could make inventions. I saw that he had a kit-built robotic arm on the shelf of his classroom and I thought to myself – ‘Man, it would be great if I could make one of those!’ So I did.

In my spare time I like building lego models, playing video games, and making things out of spare electonic parts.  When I grow up I want to be a robotic engineer, and make robots that help people with their everyday life.
